Losing the home button great and Face recognition is a huge improvement over thumbprint. The new Apple Pencil is excellent and righted a big wrong from the first Apple Pencil which was useless and the worst Apple product I ever bought.

The new pencil is exceptionally responsive and securely lives on the magnetic top edge which also charges and stays seamlessly connected. I also got the Apple keyboard cover with is excellent.

The only negative is that, unlike the Logitech Create I had on my old iPad, it is not backlit. Not a big deal though as the keyboard works much better, is much lighter and can stay on the iPad even when I use it with the LapWorks Gripzilla hand hold accessory which our sound tech uses to control our wireless mixer when my band is playing live.

I bought this ipad for the specific purpose of drawing on it while Im traveling Of course it cant totally compare to a cintiq but I was pleased and surprised at how nice it feels and what the drawing apps can do.

Added to that is the benefit of having email and internet and all the other goodies of an ipad. Its my first ipad and it takes a while to get used to the difference between this and my laptop.

The pencil works well but Apple gets a big Bronx cheer for not making the eraser work by turning the pen over like a regular pencil.
